Something New: Social Media Management

Spotlight on Services

Social Media Madness

There are a lot of urban legends out there in social media. Everyone's heard of someone who's gotten famous from their YouTube videos, who got rich off their Facebook page, who gets all their business off Instagram posts and the list goes on. Some of these stories are true or at least loosely based in an actual situation, but they are the exception, rather than the rule.

Right now you could go to most any social media outlet and find an ad with someone promising they can show you how to get thousands of followers almost overnight. Another ad will promise you untold riches. Everybody claims to have the secret sauce. Well, maybe everyone, except us.

See, social media is a really important tool in marketing this day and time, but it isn't magic. Social media takes a lot of work. Sure, you can get thousands of followers, but exactly what are you going to do with them if you are an entrepreneur or a small business. You've got a business to run, services to provide and product to deliver. Are you going to stop what you're doing to manage your social media posts? We don't claim to be magic, but we can help you have a social media presence that makes sense for your goals.

Contacts, Content and Consistency

To make social media work for your business, your social media posts have to come in contact with the people who are most likely to be your customers, the content needs to tell your story and you have to consistently tell that story over and over and over again.

You can't just set up a social media page for your business and expect the world to come to you. First, you have to find an audience and engage them. There are many ways to go about doing that, but in this day and age no one is going to go on a mission to find you. They are bombarded day in and day out with people trying to get their attention. You've got to go out there and give people a reason to pay attention to you.

Then you need to grow your audience (your contacts). The more people you can get in your audience, the more likely you are to find people who want to do business with you, but you can't spend a week growing your audience and then forget about them. You have to continue to feed them great information (content) on a regular basis (consistency) to keep them engaged.

While we're not going to make a bunch of outrageous claims, we can help you to use social media to your advantage. We'll sit down and talk about what you're doing now and what you hope to accomplish. Then we'll talk about the budget you have for social media. After that, we decide how you want to proceed. For some clients, all we do is set up social media pages, link them to your website and teach you what to do. For others, we take a more hands-on approach, developing and executing a social media plan, based on their goals and their budget.

All it takes to start the conversation is an email to jane.spoton@gmail.com or a phone call to 972-971-5263. I hope you'll give us a call. We're Looking forward to hearing from you.
